Argument Driven Inquiry takes science laboratory instruction to a rigorous level as students become active practitioners in science exploration. Unlike traditional labs that prescribe steps and ensure one correct answer, the ADI model puts students in the driver’s seat. This student-driven model challenges the gifted learner to personalize an investigation design, collaborate to gather and interpret evidence, generate a sound argument, and justify findings while incorporating literacy and exposing students to the Nature of Science.
