Mindset is a term coined by Dr. Carol Dweck that distinguishes between contrasting perspectives on intelligence. Her findings offer guidance in ways to interact with our children, demonstrating ways that performance can be enhanced or suppressed. Teachers and parents of gifted and talented children will learn why it is highly appropriate to identify students as gifted, and then to never refer to that terminology again in the course of their education.
