Instead of relying on TNT to do damage to structures on the server, we added cannons. There are 3 types of cannons:
NOTE: You can build around the cannons!
Each cannon costs 100 currency to create and a single player can own up to two cannons.
Normal Iron Cannon:
1) Place 4 iron blocks in a row
2) Place buttons on both ends
3) Depending on where you want to aim, place the torch on one of the ends.
Long Iron Cannon:
1) Place 5 iron blocks in a row
2) Place buttons on both ends
3) Depending on where you want to aim, place the torch on one of the ends.
Picture shows everything.
The picture also shows what the cannons should look like. Cannons can shoot 45 degrees left and right and up to 45 up/down.
Mortar:
1) Place 2 iron blocks ontop of eachother
2) Place a heavy pressureplace(Iron one) on top of the blocks
3) Place a torch on one of the sides.
Picture also shows what the mortar should look like. The mortar can shoot 45 degrees left and right and from 45 to 90 degrees upwards.(WRONG ON THE PICTURE, MORTAR CAN NOT AIM BELOW 45 DEGREES).
You can aim via right-clicking the torch block. To get the cannon or mortar to aim left, you right-click on the left side of the cannon. If you want the cannon or mortar to aim right, you right-click the right side of the block.
Unlike in the video I'll be adding here, you can get cannons to aim upwards via right-clicking the side surrounded by the red box, and to get it shoot downwards, you can SHIFT + right-click it:
To shoot DOWN with mortar, you need to right click the side which is surrounded by the red box, and to shoot up, you need to SHIFT + right-click the side:
NB! - BEST AIMING METHOD IS USING A CLOCK! You right-click the cannon you want to use with the clock. Then, you stay near the cannon and use SHIFT while facing towards your target(crosshairs). Once the cannon has adjusted, you can leave the aiming mode and fire the cannon.
1) You need to get a stick and clean the cannon/mortar. You do that via right-clicking the cannon with a stick.
2) After cleaning, you add gunpowder, you right-click the gunpowder into the barrel. Note: If you go over the maximum gunpowder limit, there is a chance it will blow up.
3) Load in the projectiles, which in our case can be cobblestone, iron block, melon seeds and fireworks.
4) Push down the projectile with the stick, the same way you cleaned the barrel.
5) Fire the cannon by right-clicking the torch with flint and steel.
NOTE: Aim the cannon first.
NOTE: If you are all of the sudden unable to load the cannon, even though you cleaned it before, clean it again, it might be dirty by now.
COMMANDS:
/cannons list - To see how many cannons you have and where.
/cannons dismantle - Used to delete a cannon.
/cannons buy - You need to buy the cannon you built for 100 currency before you can use it.
/cannons reset - If you're unable to find your cannon(s), use this command to dismantle it.
Because it is REALLY hard to explain this plugin, I'll link a YouTube video here, which will hopefully explain the plugin better. NOTE: WHILST WE HAVE CHANGED THE GENERAL DESIGN OF THE CANNONS, THE AIMING AND LOADING STILL WORKS LIKE IN THE VIDEO!
If you need help with this plugin regardless, ask the staff!
