Membership of UWAD is open to women graduates of all ages. Members commit themselves:
· To actively support the education of women and girls from low-income households
· To train and equip them to realize their fullest potential as householders or working women
· To recognize and protect women's rights under the rule of law
· To promote peace. security, justice and equality
· To develop global understanding. cooperation and friendship.
UWAD needs the support of all its members to make its meetings effective to fund its activities and projects and to intervene when a cause requires.
Enrolment Fee: Rs.50.00
Annual Fee: Rs 600.00. Associate Member Fee: Rs. 75.00
Life-Member Fee: Rs. 9,000.00

UWAD (Registration No.S419, March 11.1950) is financed mainly by membership dues and by donations. Grants for special projects are occasionally provided by IFUWA. Donations made to UWAD are exempt under Section 80-G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
