To promote its many objectives UWAD engages in the following activities and projects:
· Awarding scholarships to deserving and underprivileged women undergraduate, postgraduate students and vocational trainees enrolled in universities in Delhi/NCR and certified training centers.
· Awarding the Sarojini Naidu Scholarship, once in three years, for foreign students pursuing a course of study at Delhi University.
· Organizing and participating in seminars, workshops and conferences. The Bina Roy Memorial Seminar (in memory of Dr Bina Roy, IFUW's first Asian President) is an important event in which UWAs from other parts of India also participate.
· Celebrating UN Day every year.
· Holding medical camps to provide medical aid and awareness to the poor.
· Developing new projects. Currently the Legal Literacy Project aimed at increasing legal awareness at all levels of society has been well received.
· Rural Women development programme and training for income generation.
· Unsafe Spaces---Interactive project on safety of women has been introduced.
· Elimination of Plastic and Waste Management for sustainable societies.
· Monthly meetings and exchange of information through the UWAD Newsletter.
· Training members to contribute to society by developing talent and raising self-awareness, potential for leadership and concern for women's issues locally, nationally and globally.
· Attending meetings of IFUWA at its Headquarters, and IFUWA's Triennial Conference, where members from all 14 UWAs interact.
· Interactions with members of GWI affiliates from other countries and members of UWAs from other cities in India. Attending GWI Triennial Conference abroad and standing for elections to the various committees of the IFUWA Board.
· Attending GWI Triennial Conference abroad and standing for elections to the various committees of the IFUW Board.
· Participating in the University Women of Asia IUWA and South Asian Associations for Regional Co-operation Federation of University Women (SAARCFUW) meetings and conferences.
· Participating in Friendship Visits organised by UWAs in India and Abroad.
