Connie (朱芳瑱)
I am currently a sophomore majoring in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at National Taiwan University. My area of specialization is in the processing of garden products and food technology. I enjoy exploring the world through photography and connecting with nature and animals. Some of my other hobbies include baking, playing the harmonica, and playing badminton. I'm delighted to be taking this course and getting to know everyone.

Igor (林聖昌)
My name is Igor. I am a graduate student in Geography, studying in geography of religion. My thesis is about the development of christianity in Mastu, offshored islands of Taiwan. Besides my study, my leisure is to go outside, for example, take a walk, sing a song, search for delicious food, and so on.
Hobby: Music, bible study, theology
I want to know about some food or agriculture development in Taiwan and also through discussion among students from various countries learn about different contexts in same issues.
Hope (康陌禾)
I am a first-year student in the Department of Geography. I enjoy watching movies, reading novels, and sitcoms. I have a passion for sustainability, which is why I am currently a member of NTU Roots and Shoots club. I have a sweet tooth, and I am a cat person (and a rabbit person) too. Before entering college, I lived in Yilan. That's why I'm also excited to get to know Taipei with everyone.
Hobby: films, novels, cooking, minecraft
I want to learn more about urban agriculture because I think it is a solution to climate change, and hope this program can gives me some different ways of looking toward the environment I live. Also, this program will be the first time I have the opportunity to closely interact with people from other country, so hope I can cope with the communication.
Brenda (林鈺芳)
I'm a senior in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Law and also an air pistol shooting player now. I do programing a lots from frontend to embedded system when I'm free. Also, I like outdoors activities and once cycled around Taiwan. Eating is one way for me to relax. Hope there's a chance to share those food with you.

Mei (梅立昀)
I’m a second-year student majoring in Geography. I am really interested in the environment and ecology and I would like to engage in work related to this field. In my free time, I enjoy wandering the campus and parks in Taipei and I also like photography, reading comics, and watching anime. I'm excited to make friends and learn together with you!

I have a strong interest in urban ecology and the field of food and agriculture. Through this course, my goal is to develop a deeper understanding of Taipei's urban environment and explore the intricate dynamics of urban food and farming practices. Additionally, I am excited about the opportunity to engage in cross-cultural exchanges with international students and expand my horizons.
Liwen (王俐文)
I'm Liwen, a born and raised Taiwanese who is about to graduate from the History department. Constant exploration is where my passion lies! This can be seen from my work experience: I have previously worked in YouTuber industry, then transitioned into a fashion magazine (it truly felt like living the Devil Wears Prada), and now I am currently working at a startup company related to a "friending" app! I joined this course not only because I have always been very interested in nature, but also because I have actually been to the UW, haha! (But just for a visit, it's a truly beautiful university!)
Hobby: Experiencing new things and earning money through work (truly fuel my life)
I really enjoy making new friends, especially those from diverse cultural backgrounds. It brings me great joy to connect with others through my passionate interest in nature. I hope this course will ignite a desire in all of us to explore Taiwan more deeply!
Eva (楊丞甯)
I'm currently a freshman in the Business Administration department and I have a keen interest in Community Design and Place-making. Recently, I have also been drawn to Drama and Artistic Administration due to my passion for performing. Additionally, according to the MBTI test, I am classified as an ENFP, which means that I am an extrovert, intuitive, feeling, and perceiver. This description perfectly suits me as I am someone who loves to talk, share my ideas, feelings, observations, and aspirations. By the way, Iceland is at the top of my travel list, and I hope to witness the aurora borealis in person one day.
Hobby: Volleyball
I appreciate the in-depth exploration of culture, geography, environmental sustainability, and even gender citizenship in this course. I hope to gain a better understanding of how these aspects interconnect within the context of this city, and how I can contribute my knowledge to creative new things in the future. It's not only about environmental sustainability, but also about delving into and preserving local culture, allowing me to discover more about place-making and the development of relevant issues.

I'm currently a freshman majoring in chemistry at NTU. I'm interested in different culture (including agriculture) and issues concerning environmental sustainability, which is the reason I'd like to participate in this programme. Also, I'd love to interact with people from different backgrounds though I'm not someone really extrovert. I like reading, music, badminton, learning languages, and recently I've been trying photography!
Hobby: Badminton
First of all, it provides us a good chance to exchange the ideas with people from another country. It's gonna be interesting! Also, urban agriculture is a topic that I'm really curious about. We can explore how people do so in the city, and I'm sooo looking forward to seeing everyone and the field trips!!!

Hello! I am Erica from Taipei. I am a freshman of department of geography, and a player of badminton team of our department. Also, I like to take a stroll and ride a bike in the city in my leisure time.
Hobby: I consider myself a foodie
After taking the course, Human Geography, i found that I am intersted in agricuture and urban planning because they are quite relate to our daily lives. After chatting with my friends from different county, I found that many people don't enjoy their life in Taipei. I am curious about how to make this city a more comfy place to live in.

Hi! I'm Henry. I'm a grad student in building and planning. I graduated from NTU with a bachelor degree in geography. I was born and raised in Taipei. I'm a huge fan of Mayday (a Taiwanese band). My favorite animal is capybara and quokka.

I’m a junior at NTU ,majoring in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture and decided to choose landscape architecture as my department group on next three years. I am interested in architecture, nature and plants. (Although I don’t have green fingers.) I really enjoy playing badminton, swimming, drawing and watching baseball games sometimes. Because I don’t have many chances to go abroad, I am excited about making new friends and have cultural exchange.

I’m really excited about visiting Yangmingshan National Park and Da Dao Cheng. Because this is my first year in Taipei , I haven’t explored this city comprehensively. I think this program will be a good chance to learn the nature, history and other faces of Taipei City. And most importantly, making both Taiwanese and American friends !

Hi! My name is Bryan Yew, and I'm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I'm currently a sophomore at National Taiwan University, majoring in anthropology, and I'm also working in other fields like archaeology, history, and geography, especially cultural heritage. This is my second year here in Taiwan, and I'm still trying to explore more places in different parts of the country. I also enjoy hanging out at the museums and galleries whenever I'm free.

Though I'm Taiwanese, I'm not from Taipei. Therefore, I like to explore this city by hiking at natural places. In this course, I expect to be more familiar with the natural environment in Taipei and also the history of this city!
