Meet Our 2023/24 Season Board Members
Meet the upcoming seasons board, the board is responsible for what happens behind the scenes and helps the team function. Without the board, who knows where the UVM Gymnastics team would be!
PresidentCarly MindellGrade: Junior Major: Animal Science As president, I have the privilege of creating a fun, welcoming environment for all members to be a part of. This is my first year in this role, and I am most looking forward to helping new gymnasts on the team fall in love with the sport! I have done gymnastics my whole life, but there is something about being a part of such a tight-knit community that makes gymnastics here at UVM so special! My favorite event is bars. This is because it is a powerful event and it’s just fun to swing big and fly through the air.
TreasurerRyder McLaughlin Grade: Junior Major: Neuroscience
I’m Ryder, I’m a neuroscience major and psychological science minor. And I’m the treasurer of the Gymnastics team, and my role is to manage all of the teams financial assets.
My favorite event is parallel bars because I have the most fun trying new skills on them.
Meet Coordinator Frances Leadman Grade: Senior Major: Environmental Studies
Hello! I am the teams’ meet coordinator, meaning I’m in charge of putting together competitions both at home and away. Most of my efforts goes towards our home meet, the Groovy UV Classic, where we invite teams other schools around the region to come and compete right here in Vermont!
My personal favorite event is bars! I find it fun to swing around and hitting a routine is always super satisfying.
Fundraising Coordinator Abby Bodenrader Grade: Sophomore Major: MathHi! My name is Abby and I’m the fundraising and alumni coordinator this year! So I will be spending time helping to raise money for our team to do amazing things, like travel across the country to go to nationals!! I will also be connecting with our alumni and keeping them in the loop on what UVM gymnastics is doing! I’m going to be a sophomore this year. My favorite events are floor and beam!
Women's Co-CaptainLauren Parks Grade: Junior Major: Molecular Genetics I am the co-women’s captain and I am so excited to help run practices, create a welcoming environment for new and returning members, and create lineups for our competitions. My favorite event is beam.
Women's Co-CaptainLindsay Carter Grade: Junior Major: Nursing
My favorite event is bars because I love the feeling of swinging around freely and the strength that it gives me. I always find myself heading to bars first every practice to work on new and old skills.
As one of the women’s team captains, my goal is to promote a safe and welcoming environment for new gymnasts as well veterans. Whether that be guiding individuals with routine/skill building, or just being a friendly face to chat with, I’m happy to do both! Overall, I want to help everyone find joy in the sport just like UVM gymnastics has helped me grow my passion again.

My favorite event is either rings or pommel horse!
As one of the co-captains I am looking forward to helping new and returning members feel comfortable in the gym and achieve their gymnastics related goals. Gymnastics is an amazing sport and I hope to share my passion for it with everyone!

Men's Co-CaptainJohnny WebberGrade: Senior Major: English
I often catch myself daydreaming about rings, pommel horse, and my floor routine, but because I’m learning the iron cross I’d say that rings is my favorite event. With that said I feel like I can offer fitness advice to improve the strength and confidence of the men’s team.
As a co-captain who is relatively new to the sport, I believe that my role is to help make the club a less intimidating environment for newcomers. I want to show that at its core, gymnastics is really a beautiful sport. With discipline and a pinch of venturesome nature anybody can have a great time w it.

Social Co-ChairJessica ReichGrade: Junior Major: Microbiology
As one of the Co-social chairs our role is to bring everyone together. Our main goal is to make everyone feel included and welcome with all of our events in and outside of the gym.
My favorite event is vault because why not run at a stationary object really fast.
Social Co-ChairSamantha Murphy Grade: Senior Major: Food Systems Minor: Agroecology
As the one of the co-social chairs for the gymnastics team this year my role is to bring everyone together. We strive to make sure that everyone feels welcome and like a valued member of the team. We host a variety of super fun get togethers both in and outside of the gym throughout the year!
My favorite event is bars because I love the feeling of swinging through the air!
Social Co-Coordinator Madeline Sherwood-McGrath Grade: Sophomore Major: Public Health Science Minor: Dance
As one of the social media coordinators, my role in the club is sharing our club on social media. We also love to keep everyone updated on our travels and accomplishments on our website.
My favorite event is floor because I love to show off my own personality in my dancing. I love watching the team do your floor routine with you because they have picked up on it over the years. I also am a fan of the beam because it gives me a challenge to stay on.

Merchandise Co-Coordinator Charlotte Prus Grade: Sophomore Major: Neuroscience
My favorite event is floor because I love moving my body to the music and the thrill of tumbling. Beam has its days too!
As merchandise coordinators, we design and order apparel for the team like shirts, warm ups, a backpack, stickers, and more! It’s a great way to be creative and make people excited about the club!

Merchandise Co-Coordinator Sabrina PaskoffGrade: Sophomore Major: Microbiology
I’m one of the merchandise and design coordinators this year. My job is to work with the team and design great merchandise for the team. Also, to show off our amazing team outside of the gym through our merchandise.
