I believe it is possible that the soil horizons at this location have been affected by human land use. The A horizon was only a few inches deep, however it was relatively large compared to the B horizon which could indicate some minor, small scale plowing. This transition between the A and B horizon was also fairly gradual. Being close to Delehanty, it is possible construction/renovations to the building or parking lot may have resulted in the laying or turnover of soil. Thus, despite the existence of each horizon (A, B, C) and their reasonable depths/relative proportions, I ultimately believe this location's soil was mildly disturbed at some point due to the size of the A horizon and the proximity to Delehanty Hall.
