Hello! Welcome to my website. My name is Derek Marquis and I am a senior at UVM. I study Natural Resources and Geography, with interests in all things hydrology. I also love learning about the Earth's history and how it has reached the state it is in today. With this course, I hope to learn more about this history and how we expect our Earth's surface to change in the future.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, biking, longboarding, and running as well as game nights and watching movies with friends. Located in Burlington, Vermont, I have found a home where I am constantly learning of new ideas and perspectives from the many great people I meet.

While the condition in which we find our community and country may feel new and overwhelming at times, I am inspired by the resilience and persistence shown throughout the obstacles we are facing.
