Camosun's CAL program helps students coordinate academic accommodations and provides helpful resources and support for students with documented physical or mental disabilities.
Academic accommodations can range from extra time on tests/assignments, taking exams in a designated distraction-free area, note takers, and the use of electronics in class (i.e., laptops).
Camosun students can now work anywhere, anytime, on any device. The college is offering current students with a valid Camosun ID number a FREE Office 365 subscription. The subscription includes access to online Office Apps including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. It also includes one TB of OneDrive storage and five full installs of Office 365 Pro Plus on your devices including PC and Mac computers, smartphones and tablets. This is a new free service to all current Camosun students.
The Centre for Indigenous Education & Community Connections offers support services and Indigenous programs for Indigenous students and provides links between Camosun College, students, local Indigenous organizations and First Nations communities. Faye Martin is the Indigenous Support Coordinator for health and human services, for more information her email is martin@camosun.ca.

Academic writing is a strong skill to master in the BSN program. There will be many essays to write throughout the program. For some help you can ask our mentors or book an online consult with the writing center. We will not edit your essays, but we can give you advice and point you towards the right direction!
AskAway is an online chat service for research help. Use it anytime, AskAway is open (no appointments) and from any location (on campus or off campus). Librarians are ready to answer your research questions.
Research help is also available in person at the research help desk, phone and email during library hours.
In the BSN program there are going to be many academic papers you must write. And a big factor in writing a good essay is citation style. There are many rules within APA that can be hard to remember. So for a good and easy guide, you can access the Owl Purdue website for citation guides!
The main guide that the BSN program uses is APA 7th ed, but Owl Purdue also offers citation guides on other styles!
