Our Mission

UUPA (Uppsala University Postdoc Association) is a member-driven association, founded in 2017 to provide all postdocs of Uppsala University (UU) a supportive network and representation. Our aim is to work closely with UU to achieve the best possible working conditions for postdocs. This will even make UU a more attractive place for postdoctoral training in the future.  Our primary goals are:

• Building a Postdoc community at UU - Create a welcoming and joyful environment for Postdocs both professionally and personally. Here the researchers can get information and support from the peers that will provide more options and opportunities at work and enhance their life quality in general. 

• Discussing and addressing issues concerning the UU postdoctoral community’s working and living conditions.

• Promoting scientific interactions and career development – Enrich the UU postdoctoral community by promoting and organizing advanced scientific, management, and leadership training, both in and outside of academia.
