About Utkarsh

Utkarsh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at Carleton University. His research spans clinical trials, biomarkers, health outcomes, and statistical/machine learning, with a particular focus on neuromuscular diseases.

Utkarsh's work in health outcomes is on understanding phenotypic, genotypic, and treatment response variability in muscular dystrophies using clinical outcomes, multi-omic biomarkers, and statistical learning. 

His work in clustering involves developing novel mixture models with applications in model-based clustering and classification. 

Utkarsh's research has been funded by NSERC, NIH, DOD, C3 Foundation, and Foundation to Eradicate Duchenne.
