This event was created for the 2026 Fair for students in Portuguese 3117 to showcase the memorials to an Indigenous or Afro-Brazilian hero that they produced in Unit 2.
Each school is invited to submit five of their best projects, as determined by teachers and students.
It is assumed that each project was created by an individual student or a pair of students. The students' names should be listed in the signup form.
Projects will be exhibited in a designated room that will be open to the public for viewing throughout the events.
Projects will be judged on:
Creativity of the format
Visual appeal
Content: Brief biography of the person, why they should be considered a hero, characteristics that the student admires in the person, and the sources of information consulted (please note that this information needs to accompany the project in some type of textual format if the text is not contained within the memorial itself)
Correct use of Portuguese
Like the other events, each project will be assigned a rating which will factor into the overall school awards.
