Registration: Signup sheets will be sent to teachers at each high school in January. Teachers must submit their school’s registration with students’ names and events by Friday, March 28. Each participating student must sign up for one and only one event, with the following caveats:
Students who are listed as alternates for the Portuguese Bowl should sign up for an additional event.
Students who submit a film may, if they so choose, participate in an additional event.
Students who speak Portuguese as a first language may participate in any event except the Portuguese Bowl.
To the extent possible, teachers should encourage a fairly even distribution of students among events. This will not only facilitate scheduling, but will also increase the school’s chances of placing in the overall school awards since there will be more opportunities for students to earn Superior ratings in different events.
Transportation: Teachers are responsible for arranging busing with their schools/districts.
