The Festival of Trees Committee is a dedicated group within Beta Alpha Psi committed to making a positive impact on our community during the holiday season. Each year, our chapter participates in the Festival of Trees, a beloved event that raises funds for local healthcare initiatives. As a member of this committee, you’ll have the unique opportunity to plan, decorate, and donate a tree that will be auctioned to benefit those in need.

Committee members work collaboratively to develop a creative theme, select decorations, and carefully craft a tree that reflects the spirit of the season. This project not only showcases our chapter’s creativity and teamwork but also our commitment to giving back. Joining the Festival of Trees Committee is a meaningful way to engage with fellow members, contribute to a worthy cause, and make a lasting impact in our community.

Lunch Committee:

The Lunch Committee is an essential team within Beta Alpha Psi, responsible for ensuring that our members enjoy a well-organized and satisfying meal during each weekly meeting. As part of this committee, you’ll play a key role in planning, purchasing, and coordinating the lunch meals that fuel our productive discussions and networking sessions.

Members of the Lunch Committee work together to create a diverse and enjoyable menu, taking into account dietary preferences and ensuring that all logistical details are handled smoothly. From selecting vendors to managing budgets, this committee provides valuable experience in event planning and team coordination. Being part of the Lunch Committee is a great way to contribute to the success of our meetings while enhancing your organizational and leadership skills.

Tutoring Committee:

We are excited to introduce the Tutoring Committee, a new initiative within Beta Alpha Psi designed to support the academic success of both our younger members and students within the wider business school. This committee aims to provide valuable tutoring services, helping students navigate the challenges of the business core curriculum and beyond.

We are seeking dedicated members who have completed the business core, preferably those in upper-division courses, to serve as tutors. Your expertise and guidance will be instrumental in helping your peers excel academically. However, you do not need to be a tutor to join this committee. We also need enthusiastic members to help plan and coordinate tutoring sessions, manage room locations, and handle the logistical aspects of this vital service.

Joining the Tutoring Committee is a great way to give back to the BAP community, develop your leadership skills, and make a meaningful impact on the academic journey of fellow students.

VITA Committee:

The VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Committee is an integral part of Beta Alpha Psi, dedicated to continuing the success of our chapter’s involvement in this impactful program. Last year, our participation in VITA was a tremendous success, and we are eager to build on that momentum this year.

As a member of the VITA Committee, you’ll play a key role in coordinating and organizing the logistics of our tax preparation services. This includes selecting and scheduling locations, determining times, and ensuring that our volunteers are prepared to assist individuals with their income tax returns. Your efforts will directly contribute to the financial well-being of our community members, offering invaluable assistance to those who need it most.

Whether you’re passionate about tax preparation, community service, or simply looking to be part of a successful initiative, this committee offers a rewarding experience.
