Have fun! This is a hobby and game to be enjoyed by all!
All players must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
All players must comply with our community's rating and mature content guidelines.
All players will practice the Platinum Rule: "Treat others how they want to be treated."
Communicate with the Game Manager (GM) anytime you would benefit from additional help and support.
We do not enforce strict activity guidelines. You are encouraged to write as frequently as you want.
If your character is tagged in a scene, please respond within 72 hours or communicate with your writing partner(s) if you would benefit from additional time to craft your response. Otherwise, the GM will respond as your character to keep the scene moving forward.
Please communicate with the GM if you anticipate being away for an extended period as defined below:
Leave of Absence (LOA): Two weeks.
Extended Leave of Absence (ELOA): More than two weeks.
The GM performs an activity check once every three months (March, June, September, and December). Players who do not respond to this activity check are removed from the community and invited to rejoin anytime.
All scenes should include proper English spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Alien/foreign language is permitted so long as it is translated.
We write from the third-person perspective.
For consistency, scenes should use the approved scene template. The writing template is made available in each episode's Drive folder. The writing template may change periodically, so use the one specific to the episode in play.
You can and are encouraged to add pictures and GIFs to your scenes. Please ensure all media is appropriate for the scene and there is no pornography.
All content must fall within our community's rating. If your scene contains mature content, its title should precede a [M] to warn other writers (e.g., "Silent Prayers" [M]).
The scene template includes a trigger warning (TW) section. We encourage writers to use this section, especially if the scene contains mature content. Examples of TWs could include the following: Depictions of violence, Death of a character, Nudity and sexual content, etc. You can use countless trigger warnings - remember these help others make an informed decision about reading your content.
Please do not overwrite another player's contribution to a scene without their permission. The GM reserves the right to correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation or respond on behalf of the player's character if the tag is stale.
Please do not seriously harm or injure another player's character without permission.
No player may seriously damage or destroy the USS Ahwatukee or its technologies without permission from the GM.

Characters fall under one of two classifications:
Player: As its name suggests, the Player Character, often abbreviated PC, is the main character you write for and about.
Players are permitted three (3) PCs.
Non-Player: NPCs, short for non-player characters, are characters in a game or story who are not controlled by a player. They can have different roles, such as being a background character tasked with a specific job or being more central to the plot as a mission-specific or guest star character. Any player can create and use background characters, while mission-specific or guest stars are often controlled by the Game Manager (GM) to serve a particular purpose in the scene or episode.
Players can create up to five (5) individual NPCs unrelated to their PC.
Language: Swearing and mature language is permitted.
Sex: Sexual content may be described in detail.
Violence: Explicit violence is permitted.
Note: Players should exercise class, discretion, and sound judgment when writing mature content. Remember, a scene with mature content should have an [M] after the scene's title and include TWs in the scene template.
IMPORTANT: Players needing clarification on acceptable content are encouraged to contact the GM. There is no harm in asking before you post content.
We do not strictly prohibit the use of generative AI.
If you choose to use Generative AI, please remember that the content provided by the generator is foundational and intended to inspire your muse.
Generative AI does not replace your writing. Please review and edit to personalize the content.
The GM is responsible for the equitable enforcement of the guidelines outlined above.
The GM can change these rules at any time.
At the sole discretion of the GM, they can remove a player for breach of the community guidelines with or without notice and explanation.
