Late work will receive a maximum of half credit and will only be accepted if arrangements to do so have been made by the teacher and the student.

Grades for this class will be based on the following:
Assessments (Projects/Test/Quizzes) = 25%
Classwork/Homework = 45%
Engagement = 15%
Final = 15%
90-100 = A
80-89 = B
70-79 = C
60-69 = D
59 and below = F
Student’s progress can be monitored on the school’s website through Homelink (grades).
Attendance will be taken daily within the first 20 minutes of class.
Engagement in this course is a must as it constitutes 15% of a student’s grade.
All students start with full credit for engagement. Actions that prevent a student from being actively engaged in the class, such as distracting behavior, talking out of turn, and using cell phones (unless related to an assignment), will negatively impact students’ engagement scores.
Honesty is the best policy. Cheating will not be tolerated. Anyone caught cheating will receive an automatic “F” for the assignment, a phone call home, and a referral to the administration. Cheating on an assessment will result in a zero and a referral. Cheating also includes copying from either the Internet or other students and will result in a zero for the assignment.
