Since the 2020's Government sims have been a huge part of E.T. (Election Twitter). Many sims have risen and fallen, members have forged friendships, and a lot of work and effort has been put into maintaining these sims. With the turn of 2024 however, sims were a dying phenomenon. The shutdown of US of Mock, a longtime poular election sim, signaled what many thought was the end of the age of sim twitter. However, Christmas Day, 2024, a present was given to E.T. and that was the return of the sim world through USGS, the newest and most active sim ever.
