Nanda Belby is coming to USF from Fredericksburg, VA where she served as Director of Bands at Chancellor High School for the last six years. During her time at Chancellor, she taught the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, Musical Pit Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, and Adaptive Percussion groups. Prior to her appointment at Chancellor High School, she served as Director of Bands and Choirs at Middlesex High School in Saluda, VA and received her Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Music Education from James Madison University in 2019, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Nanda's primary instrument is the saxophone. She has studied privately with Dennis Zeisler, David Pope, and Wayne Tice. During her time at JMU, she performed with the JMU Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony, Jazz Band, several saxophone quartets, Pep Band, and the Marching Royal Dukes. She also performed with the JMU Concert Band on flute and served as one of the 2018 Drum Majors for the Marching Royal Dukes. As a member of the Marching Royal Dukes, Nanda performed twice in Frisco, Texas for the FCS National Championship Football Game and in the 2018 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Jarek Vogt is originally from Nazareth, Pennsylvania, and moved to Florida in 2018. He graduated from the University of South Florida in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. Jarek has been an active drumline and percussion instructor, teaching at schools in Sarasota and Hillsborough Counties, Florida. Under his leadership, his percussion ensembles and drumlines have consistently received superior ratings at concert and marching festivals. In addition to teaching, Jarek is an active composer and arranger for the Sarasota Pops Orchestra.

Beginning in 2026, Jarek will pursue a Master’s degree in instrumental conducting under the tutelage of Dr. Matthew McCutchen.

Jarek is an active member of the Florida Bandmasters Association and is committed to continually growing as both an educator and musician.

Chase Deases is originally from Katy, Texas, and graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University in 2018. He is an alumnus of The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, where he marched from 2013 to 2018.

In 2019, Chase moved to Florida to become the Director of Bands at Winter Haven Senior High School, a position he held until 2025. Under his leadership, the Pride of Winter Haven consistently earned superior ratings at both district and state levels in concert, jazz, and marching band festivals.

Chase is currently in his second year of graduate study, pursuing a Master’s degree in Wind Band Conducting at the University of South Florida, where he studies under Dr. Matthew McCutchen.

Chase is a professional member of the Florida Bandmasters Association and Kappa Kappa Psi, and is committed to continual professional growth in the field of music education. Outside of his work as an educator and conductor, he enjoys playing disc golf and is an avid reader.
