USEC was founded in 2020 by Roman, Thomas, and Alastor following the rebranding of the former 1st Marine Raider Battalion.

The founding principles were freedom and flexibility. All three founders came from similar units and wanted to create an environment without unnecessary restrictions on gear, weapons, or clothing. Their goal was to emphasise individuality, personal preference, and player creativity while maintaining tactical discipline. 

USEC reached new heights in 2022, regularly fielding two full squads and more than thirty players per operation.

Our focus remained on designing operations and storylines that were unique and unexplored within the wider Arma community. During this period, we began experimenting with custom-skinned vehicles and equipment to give members greater individuality. We also launched our Air Wing, opening new opportunities for players to take to the skies during operations.

USEC continues to uphold the same core values established in 2020. Freedom of gear choice and personal customisation remain central to our culture.

Our active design and development team continues to expand our range of custom vehicle and equipment skins, keeping the unit visually distinct.

While we may not be as large as in previous years, we remain committed to delivering weekly operations, engaging storylines, and a strong, welcoming community.

With Arma 4 on the horizon, we are ready and excited to write the next chapter in USEC’s history.
