You might already know a bit about reflexology and how it works. Maybe someone you know has tried it and told you how much they enjoyed it, and now you want to experience it for yourself.
In the past 18 years, many women who were new to reflexology have come to see me. Some felt a bit nervous and wondered if it would help them. I'm here to answer some of the most common questions I've been asked and walk you through exactly what happens from start to finish during your very first visit to my professional reflexology studio.
Your first visit: step by step
A consultation. I will ask a few questions about your health and lifestyle to help us have an informal chat and determine the best treatment option for you. Your information is kept strictly confidential.
An assessment of your feet. This involves examining the colour, temperature, and shape of the feet and toes, as well as evaluating nail health. It also includes checking for bunions, corns, hard skin, and other potential issues that may affect overall health.
Your reflexology treatment. I’ll first make sure you’re comfortable. You’ll be on a padded therapy table with supportive pillows and a cosy blanket. You can choose to sit upright or recline, and I also offer optional single-use eye masks to help block out light.
After your treatment, I’ll share my observations and offer some easy, practical aftercare tips to help support your well-being. You’ll also have a chance to have a glass of water and use the bathroom if you need to.
Consider booking another session, and I’ll share my professional advice on the timing and number of sessions that could work best for you going forward.
