Students in the Caprice class are in Grade 3-5 and displaying advanced level skills on a Bowed String instrument, and typically would be graduates of the Con Brio String class, studying with a private tutor, or playing a string instrument for several years.
Students in the Caprice Ensemble extend their technical and aural skills whilst further developing their ensemble playing skills in two groups - Caprice and Con Brio or Onsom.
Engage in teamwork and cooperation by working together to create and perform Instrumental music.
Refine listening, visual and aural literacy, increase technical skills and interpretation of music.
Develop and refine personal skills, habits, and processes for success in learning music.
Strengthen social skills and personal expression, and develop friendships, by being “A Stringer”.
Commitment:
Course = 90 minutes per week (2 ensembles)
Personal Practice = 80 + minutes per week
