GUIDELINES

Location

• Appointments will be held via Zoom.

• Zoom links can be found in the mentors weekly email (for drop-in meetups) or will be sent directly to the mentee the day before the meetup (for scheduled meetups).

• Mentees are expected to show their student ID before every meetup to confirm that they are a student and can continue receiving mentoring services.

What can mentors do?

• Answering general questions about academics (schedules, courses etc...)

• Providing information about your experience as a student

• Helping students with how to get involved on campus

• Study tips

• Self-care/mental health tips

• York University resources

• General advice in relation to what their published “Mentorship expertise” is

What is not okay?

• Giving or accepting any gifts

• Completing school work for mentees

• Sharing personal information
