This project was made possible by the Clean Water Montgomery Award Program through the Montgomery County, MD Water Quality Protection Fund, from Chesapeake Bay Trust.
Anacostia Riverkeeper will execute a watershed-based citizen science water quality monitoring program to sites in across the Anacostia Watershed with the goal of providing up-to-date, bi-weekly water quality data to residents and visitors. With thousands of people interacting with, and recreating on, the Anacostia’s waters each year, it’s essential for the public to have current water quality data that may directly impact their well-being and health. For this project, Anacostia Riverkeeper has partnered with Friends of Sligo Creek, Neighbors of Northwest Branch, Nature Forward, Defensores de la Cuenca, One Montgomery Green, University of Maryland, Joe's Movement Emporium, Friends of Lower Beaverdam Creek, Friends of Quincy Run, and Sustainable Hyattsville.
Thank you to our volunteers!
This project wouldn't be possible without the time and assistance of all volunteers for whom we are incredibly grateful.
