To develop sequencing and storytelling skills while practicing fluency.
Proficiency Level: Low, Intermediate, and High
Adaptations for Proficiency Levels:
Low: Provide simple sentence structures and examples they can follow.
Intermediate: Require students to expand on their sentence with more detail (e.g., “Then Upin decided to open the map, and they saw a big treasure chest!”).
High: Challenge students to use complex sentences, descriptive language, and dialogue
Instructions:
Begin with the starting sentence.
Each student adds one sentence to continue the story, speaking as an Upin & Ipin character.
Encourage the use of sequencing words like “then,” “next,” and “finally.”
Continue until the story concludes or every student has participated.
