LINDA TUHIWAI SMITH
Distinguished Professor Linda Tuhiwai Smith (Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Awa) is one of the world's leading scholars in Indigenous research methodologies. Her landmark book Decolonizing Methodologies: Research and Indigenous Peoples (1999, 2012, 2021) has fundamentally shaped the field of Indigenous research globally. She is Distinguished Professor at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi, New Zealand, and a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit.
MANULANI ALULI MEYER
Dr. Manulani Aluli Meyer is a Hawaiian scholar, educator and keynote speaker whose work centres on Indigenous epistemology and its role in worldwide awakening. She holds a doctorate in Philosophy of Education from Harvard University (1998) and is the author of two books: Hoʻoulu: Our Time of Becoming (2003), and Hoʻopono: Mutual Emergence (2025). She is currently the Konohiki for Kūlana o Kapolei, a Hawaiian Place of Learning at the University of Hawaiʻi West Oʻahu, and a Haku Hoʻoponopono — a master practitioner of the Hawaiian healing practice of Hoʻoponopono.
