LINDA TUHIWAI SMITH
Distinguished Professor Linda Tuhiwai Smith (Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Awa) is one of the world's leading scholars in Indigenous research methodologies. Her landmark book Decolonizing Methodologies: Research and Indigenous Peoples (1999, 2012, 2021) has fundamentally shaped the field of Indigenous research globally. She is Distinguished Professor at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi, New Zealand, and a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit.
MANULANI ALULI MEYER
Dr. Manulani Aluli Meyer is a Hawaiian scholar, educator and keynote speaker whose work centres on Indigenous epistemology and its role in worldwide awakening. She holds a doctorate in Philosophy of Education from Harvard University (1998) and is the author of Hoʻoulu: Our Time of Becoming (2003), now in its third printing. She is currently Konohiki for the Hawaiian Place of Learning at the University of Hawaiʻi West Oʻahu, and Haku Hoʻoponopono — a master practitioner of the Hawaiian healing practice of Hoʻoponopono. She is the recipient of the Spirit of the UN Award and the Medal "Pride of Eurasia" from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
