Hello, I’m Peter Weise, and I’m honored to serve as a member of the Coopersville City Council.
My wife and I have lived in Coopersville for over 20 years, raising our children in this wonderful community. I grew up just outside the school district, and one of my first jobs was at the Coopersville McDonald’s—where I also met my wife. This city has always been home to me, and I have a deep appreciation for the kindness, hard work, and dedication of the people who make it such a great place to live.
As a council member, I am committed to transparency, community engagement, and responsible growth. I believe that keeping residents informed and involved in local government decisions is essential to maintaining the strong, connected community we all value. Through this blog, I aim to provide updates on city council and planning commission meetings, share insights on key issues, and offer my perspective on decisions that affect our city.
This blog is a space where I share information, answer community questions, and provide context behind my decisions. I welcome input from all residents and encourage you to reach out with any concerns or ideas—I truly believe that the best decisions come from working together.
