A booklet that aims to test the applicant's commitment and dedication in being a member of this organization is given to each applicant. It consists of questions to be answered by the applicant and names of BioSoc members that they should get signed by interacting with them. A member of BioSoc will be assigned to a specific applicant to guide him/her with this step through a “buddy system”.
The applicants will be divided into groups as they accomplish a specific task such as creating an infographic regarding a certain biological concept which is agreed upon by the organization. This step aims to test the applicant’s cooperation skill as she/he works in a group.
Due to the pandemic which caused a shift from face to face classes to online setting, the organization is unable to continue its original 3rd step or procedure in the application process which is called IGP or Income Generating Project. In IGP, the applicants will be divided into two groups. The first group will be assigned to accomplish a T-shirt sale. On the other hand, the second group will be assigned to execute a food sale. Both of the groups will be selling their assigned products and the income generated in their respective projects will be added in the organization’s funds.
BioSoc members will serve as panelists for the applicants. Various questions are prepared and should be answered by the applicant. His or her grade on this step will be based on the manner and quality that the said questions are answered. This is when the BioSoc members have the chance to really get to know the applicants more.
In this final step, the applicant will be asked to grade his/her groupmates’ performance in the 3rd step of the Application Process which is the Group Dynamics. The applicant will also be asked to grade himself/herself in accordance to his/her performance in the aforementioned step.
