The UP Biology Society (UP BIOSOC) is a duly recognized academic organization at the University of the Philippines Baguio that has been promoting the interests of biology students and has been dedicated to advocating excellence and skill in the different fields of science not only in the university, but also in primary and secondary institutions of learning since 1978.
The organization was founded on the 14th of February 1978, serving for 43 years. It was first known as UP Pre-Med Society, but it has been changed to UP Biological Society in 1979. Furthermore, the name, UP Biology Society has been recognized since 1984.

UP Biology Society is promoted to gear itself towards the fulfillment of the goals of the University of the Philippines - Honor and Excellence; promote science consciousness through various scientific undertakings, uphold perception concerning science over diverse activities, events, and deeds. Lastly, to concern itself with academic advancement of the Biology discipline, apprehend due to scientific studies that help not only the university but also the country and also reaching out to the tremendous growth of technology and other scientific research especially in the field that concerns natural science
