Equipment for Home-working

Remote Desktop for Windows PC (see detailed instructions)
- P-Drive web-access
- Personal Webpage is located in P-Drive -> public_html and can be accessed via personalpages.manchester.ac.uk/staff/FirstName.LastName/
  - Alternatively, use Pure -> Edit profile -> Save (at the bottom)
Maths Linux IT Support Procedure:

1. Please log the case on Support Portal as "General request or IT issue"
2. Email ticket # to Chris Page (christopher.page@manchester.ac.uk)

Maths Linux PC (use PuTTy from Windows & setup X-window)

1. Install and login to GlobalProtect or OpenVPN (general guide)
2. ssh -Y username@130.88.16.53

You need to use your UoM username and password for both steps. Once logged in, you could also access the Maths Compute Server (see below) or your Office Linux PC (via "ssh -Y 130.88.x.x" if you know your IP address). If you have access issues or questions, please contact Chris Paul, Paul Lackey or Steven Coates.

Maths Compute Servers (12 servers with over 8 cores & >128GB RAM)
1. Login to the Maths Linux PC (see above)
2. ssh -Y csN # where N=1,...,12 (use 'top' to check the load)
