Originally from Carlyle, Saskatchewan, her competitive softball career began in Weyburn, Sk. She was fortunate enough to earn a scholarship to a Junior College in Texas; Galveston College then after two years she transferred to a division 1 school in the Mid American Conference, Bowling Green State University in Ohio. After 4 seasons in the NCAA she transferred home to continue schooling and played with the U of S softball team for a couple years. Although she labels herself an outfielder, the majority of her career was as a utility player, switching between outfield, short stop, 2nd base and 3rd base.
I love softball. It is my passion and I hope that’s seen when people watch me play and watch me coach. I give this game my all because it has truly given me my everything. I met my husband playing ball, I’ve met some of my very best friends and lifelong friends playing this game. I love it so much that I still play and haul my kiddos around the country with me. Softball is more than a game it can teach us so much about life… mental toughness, drive, determination, work ethic and heart… it can kick you when you're down just to pick you back up again.
My goal as a coach is to help girls develop these life skills while playing the game they love. I’m a very competitive person in nature and believe that what you put in is what you’ll get back, I expect excellence from our girls but in the end want them to remember it’s just a game and the most important part is to have fun doing it. We want to show our players that they are more than just a name on the roster.
