During each yearly conference, there will be sessions with specific Themes for each UoB Points of Light Inspirational Presentation (UoB PoLIP), Group/Panel Discussions, Exhibitions, and compelling keynotes on Leadership that amplify social change. 

Approach

UoB Points of Light Inspirational Presentations (UoB PoLIP) will invite Alumni, students, University staff and Faculty members to submit Inspirational Presentation (IP) proposals focusing on significant impact during their time at the UoB and initiatives for positive social and community change. The presentations should aimed at engaging individuals at different points in their lives and their socioeconomic path. The format of the sessions is entirely up to the presenters.

The conference Presentation format should include

• A summary of the moment of the Points of Light (PoL)

• How PoL changed a situation

• The benefit and impact of the PoL 

• Any Social innovation and change through PoL in the society

• A presentation to honour a special person who created or inspired their Point of Light.

Attention will be focused on the quality of IP proposals that align with the conference theme and give inspiration to others. In addition, the selection team will balance a diverse representative from varying geographic regions and backgrounds.
