The long-awaited day finally came. Today was my day to do the final demo teaching at DSM. I did my demo in Grade 3 Helpfulness. I taught them science and the topic was the five human senses. I have put my best effort into this, so I feel happy with my demo although I did find it difficult to organize the students during the experimental part. This was a great experience for me, I hope it can continue to motivate me to become a professional teacher.

Got the Evaluation

After my demo, I got the evaluation for my final demo teaching from my cooperating teacher, supervising teachers, and other DSM teachers. The inputs and assessments given to me were very valuable and helped me to increase my experience in teaching.

Closing Ceremony

The last agenda that I had in the Philippines was the closing ceremony. The ceremony started at 3.30 p.m. at the College of Education. There, all the preservice student exchange shared about their experiences in the Philippines and showed some Indonesian performances. The teachers also gave us their impressions and messages. We also exchanged souvenirs with the teachers. This closing ceremony signifies that my preservice student exchange activities in the Philippines have officially ended.

Gathering with Supervisors

When the closing ceremony finished, my supervising teacher invited us to have dinner. We had dinner in a pancake restaurant that is located inside the campus. I ordered a chicken fillet with waffles and lemonade. It was delicious food. I’m very thankful to my teacher.
