This is an unofficial guide based on student experiences. For the most authoritative, up-to-date information, see the official orientation website.
Need to print something, finish distance learning during a break, or work on your foreign language vocabulary? Read below.
Computers and laser printers are available for use throughout FSI and the Employee Services Center at HST, and you will likely be issued Tech4Life (a laptop and cell phone) during your first week of orientation.
Computers with access to OpenNet are located throughout the F Building in alcoves along the hallways. Some alcoves have printers. In the K Building, there are computers and a printer next to the kitchen/lounge area on each floor. Computers are on every floor of the B Building near the kitchenettes, the orientation student lounge, and by the 2nd Floor entrance; you'll find a shredder, copier, and scanner in that room as well. You will need to insert your badge into the card readers to login to any of the computers at HST or FSI.
The Employee Services Center (2nd Floor, Room 2609A) has a “hoteling” space with about a dozen OpenNet workstations and a printer available for employee use. Check in with reception in 2610A first. You may do your distance learning classes here provided you bring your own wired headset.
