Reports Requirements

• Lab report is due one week following the performance of the experiment. Late reports are generally penalized by number of days the report is late.

• The report must be typed using a word processor, formulas or calculations have to be neatly written and readable.

• The report must include:

1.  The cover page with the name of the Lab and name(s) of the report's author(s).

2.  "Objective" section where the objective of the Lab should be stated.

   1. Description of experimental procedures performed in the lab (in section "Experimental Procedures").

3. Data charts containing experimental measurements.

4. Calculations involved in the data analysis.

5. All reported physical quantities must contain units and proper number of significant figures

6. Graphs if required, must be done on a graph paper or using spreadsheet graphing (see also Generating Best Fit Line Plots in Excel )

7. All reports must contain sections  "Discussion" and "Conclusion" where the analysis of the results is presented. "Conclusion" section has to reflect the summary of the "Discussion" section.
