Universal Awards was previously called Universal Creations. Its YouTube channel was previously called Universal Creations with Suma.

Universal Creations was started in 1999 in Bangalore, India. Initiated many art and craft workshop for children. Thus started its journey to promote our culture.

Universal Yoga is another child initiative of Universal Creations. Universal Yoga provides Yoga classes and craft coaching for Women, since 2006. To encourage and make Yoga a daily practice, Universal Yogasana Photo Contest, annually is conducted in association with "British Indian Tamil Radio" and Health group, "Currywatchers" was started, since 2020. Had hosted with special Yoga teachers Dr.Muthu(UK), Mr.Satish Shah(UK), Yoga Kalyani(UK), Yoga Visalakshi(UK), Yoga Uma(UK), since then.

The South Indian traditional festival Dasara/Golu was used into a platform for display of educational themes ...picking up topics from school books...and setting hand-crafted works. Thus giving the youngsters ideas of Model-making. This traditional Art of Model-making in Dasara/Golu/Bommalu Kolu, being showcased in homes was and is awarded for the best setups. The Contest is running under the name "UNIVERSAL AWARDS-Dolls Planet-Global Golu/Gombe/Bommalu Contest", through Facebook. Many small entrepreneurs have joined hands each year to sponsor for our event, including Oil and Rice merchant, Mr.Ashok(India,TN). Glad to have had judges Aanandi (India), Annapurna(Bangalore) and  Priya(Chennai,India) as Judges. 

Our Golu/Dasara/Gombe/Bommalu Contest 2022 was very successful with Special guest of Honours, Kalamadhyama(Kannada YouTube Channel)'s Mrs.Savita Parameshwar,  Rangaputhali Puppeteers Mr.Srinivas and Architect Kavya being with us.

In the Year 2023 our "Universal Creations", YouTube channel was renamed as "Universal Awards" to showcase and Award more new talents, in other creative areas. As a mark of growth, of our Awards, In 2023 we had celebrity "Guests of Honour",  then as Mrs.Divya Raghavan, Popular Kannada Singer, then Mrs. Nandhini Venkatesh, YouTube spiritual channel popular from NandhiniVibes, Mrs.Rekha Ramkumar, Stylist of Prana Boutique, Mrs.Vyjayanthi Sabapathi, Guiness record holder in Quilling Art, and other awards, then Mrs.and Mr.Vijay Rajan, aspiring Golu Guiness recorder and Miss.Yogasundari, YouTube popular of 'Ennakku Oru Idea' channel.

Aiming to raise our traditions higher, we will be eager to join hands with more professionals, connect art, culture, spirituality and values of life to a greater level.
