We work round the clock to nurture mindsets, prevent racism and nurture inter-communal, inter-cultural and inter-religious harmony in Sri Lanka so that we may avoid having to face another civil war. But we need your help to continue our work.
There are several ways through which you could be a part of our Journey of Love & Care and contribute towards uniting, healing and integrating our Nation. One is to make a donation which will go straight towards our Nation-wide field operations. It's an easy process and you may contribute however much you want -everything helps.
Another way to help is to raise awareness by joining us on our social networks or helping to fundraise in your local communities.
We welcome youth aged between 16-30 who wish to join UMT as Associate Members. They will be attached to our nearest Regional Team after their application is processed.
Follow us on Facebook @UnityMissionTrust and Instagram @unitymissiontrust to stay up-to-date with the latest from the field and don’t forget to share our posts with your friends!
Donating money is an easy process. You can give any amount and all
of it will go straight to helping our field operations youth across Sri
Lanka. Make a donation.
If you have any questions about making a donation, please visit our

Would you like to support UMT's special events or help spread the
word about unity, integration and healing in Sri Lanka?
There are many ways that you can contribute and participate. Here
are some ideas:
Host a Peace Day party – screen a topical film about racism, diversity, cultural/ethnic/racial strife or celebrate multiculturalism.
Organize a discussion at your home, place of worship, office, or community centre on inter-cultural issues, the importance of creating awareness on Sri Lanka's cultural diversity, and what steps can be taken to celebrate and nurture cultural pluralism.
Contact our HQ to ask for ideas or maybe even a speaker.
Hold a debate on a topic important to you – for example, what is racism? How damaging is racism to growth? What is the root-cause of racism and cross-cultural tension? What can individuals and communities do to help?

UMT maintains a strict code of conduct and behaviour which all of our youth leaders and associate members adhere to. The code is crafted based on our principles and values regarding self and interpersonal respect, wellbeing, fostering inter-religious and inter-cultural tolerance, awareness-building and understanding. Our primary interest is to develop young people to becoming energized leaders with a strong ethical and moral compass, who embody and extend the vision, mission, and values of UMT. As we work with a range of young people between the ages of 17 - 30 years, it matters to our youth, particularly those of a school going age - for their safety, security and wellbeing - that our code of conduct is adhered to and respected.
