We are six young individuals who are passionate about social reform in Brampton. We want to see change in our city and influence others to get involved in the community. Growing up in Brampton, we have been able to watch our city grow and have noticed the lack of involvement with youth in our city and the community. This has inspired us to lead this initiative and help others get involved, and value Brampton for the growing and nurturing city it is. Coming from different backgrounds, we believe we can help make a positive change in our community.
The issue of inadequate resources for underprivileged youth in Brampton is more prevalent than ever before, and we believe that it's time for a change. Our goal is to help youth by creating a safe space for them in our community, whether it is throughmental health initiatives, fundraisers for Brampton’sSalvation Army Queen Youth Shelter, or through drives for various purposes. With issues such as Covid-19 and new education systems prevalent to our community right now, we understand how overwhelmed and stress some may be right now, especially youth in Brampton without important resources. We want to help bridge gaps between the youth in the community and push involvement throughout Brampton, making our city more of an involved community.
OUR VISION
We plan to coordinate 3-4fundraisers and events each year to encourage community engagement and to create awareness. We are United for Justice, and we believe that Brampton cannot thrive without a system that offers equal access to resources and opportunities for everyone living in it.
