Ethan Paul Kuchler 1999 - 2019
BARNEVELD - Ethan Paul Kuchler passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2019.
Born on June 24, 1999 to Kim Stanier and William Kuchler, he was raised in Trenton Falls and recently lived in Barneveld with his family. He graduated from Holland Patent High School in 2018 with high honors. He worked at Rite Aid in Barneveld and also did pet sitting for neighbors. Ethan wanted to work with his hands and hoped to become an electrician someday.
When he was younger, he enjoyed tennis, hiking and camping; developing an appreciation for the natural world around him. More recently, he enjoyed running, drawing and writing.
The family will remember Ethan as a quiet, polite, intelligent, insightful, humble, caring and gentle soul. He was a good listener, good company and treated each person in a sweet special way. For instance, Ethan liked to remind his older brother Peter that he was taller than him and liked to pick on his father, whom adored him for that. He also enjoyed outings and conversations with his brother Andrew. His mother enjoyed every moment spent with him.
Ethan is survived by his parents; his brothers, Andrew Stanier (Trenton Falls) and Peter Kuchler (Barneveld); uncle Ed and aunt Kay (Kuchler) Eicher (Wellsville, NY), uncle, Wayne Failing (Lake Placid, NY); aunts, Jan Failing (Lake Placid, NY), Pamela Failingn (Barrington, NH) and Cindy McFay, (Mayfield, NY); four-legged family members, Tucker, Mandy and Gunner, as well as many friends of the family. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Al and Ruth Kuchler, (Barneveld) and Archie and Arveda Failing, (Utica).
Ethan was an awesome, loving son and brother and was very much loved. He will be sorely missed by his family and those that knew him.
Funeral services are entrusted to Ackley-Mills Funeral Home in Remsen. The service arrangements will be announced at a future time.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Ethan's name may be made to a humane society of your choice.
