We demonstrate all that we're learning through various songs in major and minor!
The performance is Friday, October 24, 2025 • 6pm • UPA Gym
4th grade students should meet their teacher in the cafeteria between 5:40 and 5:50.
Doors will open for the parents to enter the gym at 5:40.
The performance should end around 6:30ish.
All UPA 4th graders are encouraged to participate in this performance. However, this is not a required event.
There is *technically* no limit to how many family members per child can attend, but there IS limited seating, so please consider being mindful of others.
When you enter the gym, you'll see colored tape on the floor of the gym to help students know where to go. To get the best view of your child, sit right in front of the tape that corresponds with your child's class.
Smith's class will be on the red tape.
Lawrence's class will be on the yellow tape.
Neal's class will be on the green tape.
Anderson's class will be on the blue tape.
Martino's class will be on the purple tape.
Students will showcase the music standards they've been learning through songs, games, and movement. This will be short and informal as our goal is to show parents where we are in our learning, not necessarily to put together a polished performance. Everything students need to know to participate, they have been learning in class!
Note: We won't be showcasing recorder in this informance. Some students have never played recorder, so I don't want to stress them out by asking them to "perform" in front of people when they haven't had much practice.
Students may wear either their school uniform, or casual, school-appropriate clothing. Students will be dancing around and sitting on the floor, so they should wear clothes and shoes they can move and sit in.
