HOW TO APPROVE:
The students volunteering for you log their hours on a site called MobileServe, it will ask students to provide an email for verification of hours.
This email will be sent directly to your inbox, all you have to do is click "approve" or "reject". Sometimes the email can get stuck in spam or junk, so make sure to check those folders.
HELPFUL TIPS:
Only actual hours of service may be recorded—NOT travel time, required meetings and miscellaneous time.
Service performed as a disciplinary action CANNOT be counted.
Students cannot miss school to volunteer unless they have a virtual hour (and are not missing check-in days), TCC classes (and are on an off day) OR it is on the approved list to miss school to do. Click here for what is approved to miss school for.
Service hours performed for family, including extended family, CANNOT be counted.
Parents CANNOT sign as the volunteer supervisor.
Service must be performed through a tax-exempt or recognizable charitable agency. Pre-approval for any other sites must be obtained.
Students must log their hours within 30 days of performing the service. Hours performed over the summer are due by ____.
Different grades have different due dates for hours:
Sophomores - 10 by Feb 15th to be Invited to Sophomore Induction Ceremony
Juniors - No specific due date
Seniors - Must have 30 total by December 31st of senior year to graduate as a member of NHS.

**Please feel free to also report any problems among members who volunteer and It will be appropriately handled. Also, should they fail to log hours or cut it close to the due date, please remember they have to learn that their lack of planning and not following directions does not constitute an emergency on your end.
