Play, connect, belong: From neighborhood parks to citywide programs, imagine the possibilities.

Union City is continuing the journey to shape the future of its parks and recreation system, and your voice remains essential to the Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

In the first round of outreach last year, you shared what matters most in our parks, including better maintenance, improved safety, inclusive design, and stronger community connections. Now, as we move into the second round of outreach, we want to dig deeper to understand your top priorities.

Share your voice and help shape a parks and recreation system where everyone can play, connect, and belong!

How to Get Involved in Round Two:

• Community Survey - Open now through March 31, 2026

• Community Workshop - Mark Green Sports Center, Thursday, March 5, 2026, 6:30 pm 

• Community Workshop - Kennedy Youth Center, Saturday, March 14, 2026, 10 am 

• Visit our Pop-Up Tent at Culture Fest - Kennedy Park, March 21, 2026, between 12 noon - 4 pm

• Virtual Community Workshop- Thursday, March 26, 2026, 6:30 pm

  • Register online in advance via zoom

• Visit our Pop-Up Tent at the Spring Egg Hunt - Old Alvarado Park, Saturday March 28, 2026, 9 am - 12 noon 

You can also turn in a physical copy of the Community Survey at any one of our community centers.  Click here to see our facility business hours.  All surveys must be turned in by March 31, 2026.
