Web Style Guide

UNDRR has revised its web style guidelines in light of the migration to all its sites to Drupal. The web presence should be consistent and connected. The following section explains the common elements across the all sites.

Global header

The global navigation should appear on all UNDRR sites and tools. It displays the language selector, the login icon / user name if logged in, and the global menu (grid icon) that links to the core resources and tools.

The global navigation is not sticky on scroll. However, the main navigation below often is and should display the Sendai color stripe as a reminder of the overall context.

Footer

The footer is common to all UNDRR sites in its appearance but the links can be customized to fit the specific needs.

Stay in touch:

  • By default, the icons link to the UNDRR social channels. If sub-channels exist, they can be directly linked to.
  • SIGN UP FOR UPDATES links to PreventionWeb

Custom links:

  • The next section can be customized for each site to provide shortcuts or additional information

UNDRR tools:

  • This list is the same for all sites

Contact us:

  • Links to the CONTACT US on the corporate site by default unless the sub-site has its own contact form

Global footer:

The banner is the same on all sites, with the logos of the Sendai Framework logo and the SDGs. It also contains the copyright notice, privacy policy, and the terms of use.

Detailed Web Style Guide

The Web Style Guide defines the color palette, typography, icons, UI controls, grids and templates in detail. It currently contains templates used for the corporate site and the GAR. New sites should follow the corporate site templates as closely as possible.
