It is normal to feel sad, stressed and angry when presented with new challenges. Those feelings and emotions are normal. Not only are they normal but they are valid. You must allow yourself to feel and process these feelings. Having a child with special needs can be stressful, especially during the initial stages. It is extremely important to understand that you as a parent, sibling or caregiver are allowed to feel negative emotions. You can’t expect yourself to go down this journey and not feel these things.
