The Volunteering Art Event is set to spread awareness on mental-health-related issues. Attendees will create various works of art in relation to a given mental-health-related topic. The prompt will be given a week in advance. Judges will determine winners and prizes will be given to top pieces of media. Volunteer hours will also be provided for only the duration of the workshop and not the week given in advance for the prompt. Raffle draws will also happen during the duration of the virtual event.

UDP’s University Seminar Event is an online seminar that focuses on improving students’ mental health and well-being during post-secondary application season. UDP will invite current students from post-secondary institutions within Canada to share their experiences and support high school students. This is an excellent opportunity for participants to receive first-hand advice from graduate students as well as tips for successful applications.
Each post-secondary institution will have a designated breakout room for participants to join at leisure. Participants are encouraged to ask post-secondary guest speakers for tips to better their mental health during periods of high stress.
UDP will be hosting an Elderly New Years Card Event to help fight isolation during the holiday season. This is an event where people can write a letter and/or design an artwork to be submitted through an online platform, so that UDP can share it with the elderlies, or the people in the hospital to show appreciation and to share the holiday spirit. The Elderly New Years Card Event will be a creative activity to help build connections and to show some care for the people in the community.
