Probationary and Off-Cycle Reviews are no longer active in ePerformance. To complete a Probationary review during the year, use Progress Notes to document and complete.
Mid-Year Check-Ins are mandatory:
(a) for all employees who received any rating of “Not Meeting Expectations” on their last annual performance appraisal;
(b) for all employees who have active disciplinary actions;
(c) for other employees, when the manager/supervisor finds it appropriate or necessary to perform an interim review; or
(d) if the Chancellor (or President, for UNC General Administration) decides to require interim reviews campus-wide.
If an employee does not meet any of this criteria, a Mid-Year Check-In is OPTIONAL.
