About us
The Graduate Mathematics Society (GMS) is the student-governed association representing graduate students and student workers in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Manitoba. The goals of the GMS are:
providing graduate student representation
promoting graduate student advocacy
fostering camaraderie and offering social support to graduate students
supporting the academic and professional growth of graduate students
encouraging the involvement of math graduate students in the graduate student community
Code of conduct
The University of Manitoba Graduate Mathematics Society (GMS) is committed to creating an equitable, diverse and inclusive environment for all of our members. We are committed to maintaining the highest standard of conduct and acting with integrity and fairness in all our activities. We expect all members and outside participants to conduct themselves in a responsible manner and abide by the GMS Code of Conduct at any GMS sanctioned event or online space. We expect everyone to treat other members with respect and dignity and to not participate in the discrimination, harassment, or prejudice of another person or group of persons.
