Basketball 2025-26 Schedule is out!
The 2025-26 Basketball Season is arriving soon, and we are now offering contracts for non-profit organizations looking to raise funds!
Staffing Requirement and TIPS-certification
The staffing requirement for each game is the same, 13-18 people, of which 6 or more must be TIPS-certified as we serve alcoholic beverages at all locations in the Xfinity Center.
Games Requirement
This year, there are 16 men’s games and 19 women’s games this year, for a total of 35 games to choose from.
For a full contract, you must sign up for seven or more home games. At least 4 of those games must be “essential” games. Essential games are categorized by us as being difficult to staff, extra busy, during breaks, non-conference games, during normal work hours, or for many other reasons, and of the 35 games, 22 are considered essential.
After groups which can commit to the full requirement, if there are still openings, we may be able to offer partial contracts. Please note that partial contracts also require essential games, at a proportion equal or higher than a full contract.
Basketball Schedule
You can determine which games are “essential” using the game schedules, which are provided below, with fundraising availability updated daily. Please look through the days available and let me know which your group would like. As a reminder, you are welcome to sign up for more than seven games if interested, which will also increase your end-of-season bonus.
Times have not yet been announced for any games. Please assume that weekday games will overlap with normal business hours until we have official times.
Date selection and confirmation will be based on your group’s returning and contract status. Here is the window for signing up for a basketball contract based on your group:
09/19 - 09/27: 2024-25 Returning Groups 7+ games
Returning groups include any groups who fundraised during the 2024-5 Basketball season.
09/28 - 10/06: New Groups 7+ games
10/07/2025 - continuous: New or Returning Groups 6 or fewer games:
Within each window, dates will be assigned first come first serve. If you missed the relevant window for your group, please just send your date preferences when you have them.
Partial Contracts
Partial contracts are any contract of 6 or fewer games, and will be offered as long as we still have openings after October 7th. Partial contracts require a commitment to a proportionate number of essential games. A 6 game contract requires 4 essential games. A 4 or 5 game contract requires 3 essential games. A 2 or 3 game contract requires 2 essential games. A single game contracts is only permitted for essential games.
Please be aware that by the time that partial contracts become available, many dates will be full.
All basketball home games are played at the Xfinity Center on UMD's campus. Group members should report to Check-In at their report time, which can be found at Gate E (near Terrapin Train Garage) on the western end of the stadium.
Check-In: Gate E (Pin Above)
Please be aware Google may recommend you walk up the hill to reach Gate E which is currently blocked by new construction. You can easily reach check-in from the north, but from the south you will need to walk all the way to the edge of the construction fence (edge away from the building), and walk up the dirt path there. It is not an official path, just a small gap for those who want to walk up the hill.
