Umami Account Cancellation Agreement

Before canceling your Umami account, you should carefully read, understand, and agree to this Account Cancellation Agreement (the "Agreement").
You can initiate an account deletion request through two primary methods:
In-App: Go to Profile > Settings > Account Deletion > Confirm Account Deletion.
Email: Send your Account Deletion request to this email sodinabin1@gmail.com using Subject Line: Account Deletion Request – Umami
If you intended to send your account deletion request via email, your request must include:
Your registered phone number
Your full name
A clear confirmation that you wish to permanently delete your account
We reserve the right to verify your identity before processing any deletion request.
After your account is cancelled, Umami will cease providing all surplus food rescue services to you.
1. Conditions for Cancellation
To cancel your account, the following conditions must be met simultaneously:
(1) No Arrears: There are no outstanding debts or arrears in the account.
(2) No Pending Orders: There are no active "Surprise Bag" reservations, outstanding orders, or unpaid services.
(3) No Disputes: There are no active disputes, complaints, or reports involving the account.
(4) Account Standing: The account must be in a normal state without restricted records or bans.
2. Termination Rights
During the cancellation process, if your Umami account becomes involved in disputes—including but not limited to food safety complaints, merchant reports, litigation, or investigations by relevant authorities—Umami reserves the right to terminate or pause the cancellation process until the matter is resolved.
3. Responsibility
You confirm that you have the legal right to cancel the account and that doing so does not infringe upon the rights of any third party. You shall be responsible for any disputes arising from this cancellation.
Pre-Deletion Audit: Before requesting cancellation, the user is responsible for ensuring they have utilized any desired coupons or promotional offers. Umami will not offer compensation for "missed savings" resulting from the user's decision to delete their account.
4. Irreversibility
You understand and agree that once the account is cancelled, it cannot be recovered. We cannot restore previous services, personal data, or transaction history after deletion.
5. Data Deletion
Upon successful cancellation, the following data will be permanently deleted or anonymized:
Name
Date of Birth
Gender
Phone number
Profile information (nickname, avatar)
Order history and reservation records
Location-related data
Linked payment references
All unused coupon codes, specific discount eligibility, and referral history associated with the account.
6. Data Retention
Certain limited information may be retained where required by applicable laws or for legitimate business purposes, including:
Financial transaction records required under Cambodian regulations
Payment transaction identifiers processed via ABA PayWay
Records necessary for fraud prevention or dispute resolution
Retention Period: Up to five (5) years or as otherwise required by law.
Retained data will not be used for marketing purposes.
7. Consequences of Cancellation
Upon cancellation:
Login Access: You will no longer be able to log in using your account or associated phone number.
Historical Data: Personal data, nicknames, profile pictures, and order history will no longer be accessible.
Forfeiture of Promotional Value: Upon successful cancellation, any active, pending, or unused coupons, vouchers, or promotional discounts will be immediately and permanently voided. These items have no cash value and cannot be transferred, refunded, or restored to a new account.
8. Legal Standing
Cancellation of your account does not exempt or mitigate your legal responsibilities for any actions or transactions that occurred prior to cancellation.
