SECTION 5 - IPP
IPP Stands for Initial Pursuit Phase, this is the first thing you call up on the radio when you have a vehicle failing to stop
Location + Direction - Eg Freedom avenue northbound
Vehicle Details - Colour, Make, VRM (plate)
Speed - Current speed and speed limit on the road of travel
Vehicle density - How busy the roads are
Pedestrian density - How many pedestrians are around
Road conditions - Wet, Dry, Offroad
Weather conditions - Clear, Light, Dark
Visibility - Poor, Moderate, Good
DRA - High, Medium, Low
Driver qualifications - IPP, Advanced, TPAC
Police vehicle - Marked, Unmarked are blue lights and sirens on?
When in a pursuit if an advanced driver asset is behind you slow down and pull to the side to let them take primary. Traffic assets always take primary in a pursuit. Always make sure your comms are clear and brief during the pursuit phase.
